The site was home to the ambulance station for 50 years and has been extensively revamped to accommodate the retail commercial centre.
Cessnock Chamber of Commerce president Geoff Walker said it was refreshing to see new business in that part of the central business district. “It has lit up the area completely, adding a bit of vitality to that end of town,” he said.”
